The EMAC entails the provision of service to conduct annual electrical inspection, submission of a report on the findings and recommendation of appropriate action plan.
The contracts will be on annual basis and shall be automatically renewed upon receipt of annual contract payment sum as mentioned hereinafter or to be communicated, updated in Doorstep website www.doorstep.com.my or emailed to customers from time to time.
Annual Inspection Service
(a) Check earthing ( earth tester) and voltage report
(b) Check of balance supply at single / three phase distribution box
(c) Check incoming power cable, connectors, cut out fuse and distribution box
(d) Check socket outlet
(e) Listing of type and watt of light bulbs
(f) A final report on the findings of (a) to (e)
At the moment, the EMAC is based on the size of the office and any revision will be updated from time to time.

The EMAC contract will commence upon execution of the agreement by the customer and receipt of the annual payment confirmation by Doorstep. The EMAC service will be executed within 48 hours from the time of confirmation of payment or on the date as selected by the customer.
The subsequent EMAC fee will be invoiced at the anniversary of the first acceptance date. Any changes of the annual fee will be communicated 3 months before the payment due date.
All EMAC members will be entitled to 24 hours breakdown service.
Breakdown service refers to inspection services to determine the source of power disruption. Transportation and consultation fee will be charges. Fee will be based on the location, size of the premise and nature of the breakdown. Customer to allow a minimum lead time of at least five hours for the breakdown services to be carried out. The lead may vary depending on the location and the schedule of our electrician.
Breakdown services will be available when there is a power supply disruption confined to customers contracted premise due to faulty equipment or wiring. Power disruption due to any other reasons will not be entitled to breakdown services.
Standard labour charges will be applicable to all works done except works carried out to determine the source of power disruption /failure.
The estimated cost will be produced upon determination of the scope of work, materials usage and other factors affecting the work. The works will be carried upon the customer accepts the cost estimate produced by Doorstep electrician. Customer acknowledges the fact that the final billing may vary due to additional work, equipment, materials used in carrying out the work.

All payments must be made to Doorstep Retails Sdn Bhd via cheque, telegraphic and electronic transfer. The account number will be provided upon acceptance of the scope of work by our customer service staff. The contracting parties are the Customer and Doorstep. Customer defined as the person / corporate accepting the EMAC or requesting for electrical services and making the payment thereon. Doorstep refers to Doorstep Retails Sdn Bhd, its subsidiaries, associates, partners and appointed agents
Doorstep will recommend tested and reliable equipments and parts to replace the faulty equipments and parts. The recommendations are made based on the Doorstep's product knowledge and experience. Guarantee on new equipments and parts will replicate the standard guarantee given by the manufacturers / suppliers of the products.
The customer confirms that all works are carried by Doorstep are as per their / its requested, approved and agreed scope of repair works, replacement parts and equipments.
Doorstep affirms that it has all the necessary equipments and expertise to carry out the requested, approved or agreed scope of work.
Where approval by Electricity Regulating Authority or any Third party required, Doorstep will advise Customer accordingly. Doorstep will assist Customer to obtain the necessary approvals. Customer will bear all and any direct and indirect cost involved in securing the approval. Customer agrees to pay Doorstep out of pocket expenses and service fee based on the nature of the service.
